14 Weeks and Lookin' Like a Baby


Your first appearance not-as-a-blob was very exciting for us, Baby. To see little arms, little legs... I can hardly believe all that tiny life is happening right inside of me.

Evidence of you on the outside isn't so obvious yet. The heightened hormones that you bring still have me wretching and turning up my nose at most things, which I must admit has disappointed me because I somehow thought when we reached the second trimester these would magically disappear. If what I eat has any effect on amniotic fluid taste and, subsequently, your little taste buds, then I would say there's a good chance you will love:

- Peaches
- Milk and cereal
- Cheddar cheese sticks
- Brown sugar ice cream
- Asian pears
- Cucumber kimchi
- Korean purple rice
- Broccoli
- Green beans
- Yogurt
- Fried tofu
- Plain udon in low-salt broth

... because that's pretty much what my diet has consisted of lately (read: things that do not make me throw up within 15 minutes of consumption). I was relieved to see that you look pretty good nevertheless!
